RemoteHeR — Empowering Women for Digital & Remote HR Careers — has been featured in the press, sharing the project with a wider European audience for the first time. The Erasmus+ VET project officially launched at the end of 2025 and tackles one of today’s most urgent labour-market challenges: making sure women have equitable access to digital skills and remote employment.
The project equips women — especially mothers, migrants, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds — with the competencies needed to thrive in modern, flexible HR roles. It brings together a consortium from Portugal, Spain, Estonia, and Germany, combining expertise in VET, digital learning, gender equality, and HR innovation.
What RemoteHeR will deliver
- A comprehensive digital HR curriculum
- An interactive e-learning platform
- A large-scale training programme for both women learners and VET trainers
- All materials released as Open Educational Resources (OER) for long-term access
Paderborn University’s role
A key partner is the Chair of Business and Human Resource Education (Wirtschaftspädagogik II) of Prof. Dr. Marc Beutner at the University of Paderborn, Germany, contributing expertise in vocational education, digital learning, curriculum design, and evaluation research. The team plays an active role in curriculum development, quality assurance, evaluation, and dissemination.
As Prof. Beutner notes: “RemoteHeR addresses a highly relevant challenge of our time: enabling women to participate fully in a digital and increasingly remote labour market. We are proud to contribute our expertise to this important European initiative and to support the creation of innovative, inclusive, and future-oriented learning opportunities for women across Europe.”
RemoteHeR runs from November 2025 to July 2027 and is funded under the Erasmus+ KA220-VET programme.
